Origin

Boston Terrier
was the
first American breed recognized by the AKC, in the yearly 1900s. The
original breeds were a cross between the English Bulldog and now
extinct English White Terrier.
They have been developed in US
in the late 1800s.One of the breed's first nicknames was "roundheads".
Shortly after, the breed was named the
Boston Terrier after
its birthplace.
